Lori Alighieri teaches Introduction to Computer Applications and Web Design and Development in Dover, MA. In addition to teaching students in grades 9 - 12, she is also the Technology Integration Specialist at her school. Lori earned her BS from Bentley University and her MA in Education from UMass Boston. Lori worked in the computer industry for over 20 years before making a career change to education. She confesses to being the ultimate computer geek and would like to become more involved in developing online education opportunities for students and educators. |

Sam Bookston teaches television communications at Needham High School. She has earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications, as well as a Master's degree in Education. She is expecting her first child in July, 2010. The summer of 2009, she traveled with her husband to Kenya and Tanzania for 7 weeks to participate in volunteer construction projects, where she learned to appreciate what she has. She loves learning about other cultures, loves to read, and enjoys running and swimming. In her classroom, Sam tries to get students to ask questions and explore their way to solutions. She currently is co-advisor for NHSN, a weekly high school news broadcast. |

Matthew Brenneman has taught Social Studies at Natick High School for the past 7 years. He pursued his undergraduate degree in History at James Madison University and Framingham State College. He is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Boston University. Matt coaches football and track and field at Natick High School. An avid reader of fiction and historical fiction, Mr. Brenneman’s favorite authors are Pat Conroy and Tim O’Brien. His favorite historical decade is the 1960’s. |

Christine Carr teaches History at Hopkinton High School in Hopkinton, MA. She earned her A.B. in International Studies from Stonehill College in 1998 and her Ed.M. in Teaching and Curriculum from Harvard University in 1999. She has taught various History and Social Science classes over the years, and her areas of interest include Holocaust Studies and the history during the War Years. Her favorite music is Jazz and Classical, loves rare breeds of cats, and hopes to pursue a doctorate in the near future. |

Michael Curry is the Department Chairman of Mathematics at Canton High School. He holds a PhD. from Stony Brook University in NY as well as Master’s Degrees from Northeastern University and Simmons College. He is completing his 12th year as an educator. In addition to the Advanced Mathematics course taught under the TEC-Online Academy umbrella, Dr. Curry also teaches Pre-calculus and Calculus for the College of Professional Studies at North Eastern University. |

Ed DeHoratius has taught Latin, Classics, and English at Wayland High School for the last 11 years and taught Latin for 4 years at Bancroft School in Worcester before that. He has taught all levels of Latin (1 to AP), in addition to Classical Literature, Medieval Literature, English 1, English 4, as well as Greek and Roman Archaeology. He has an AB in Classical Languages / Medieval Renaissance Studies, and an MA in Latin and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. In his non-teaching time, he enjoys his three boys ages 6, 4, and 2. He also likes to cook, woodwork / work on his house, play around with photography, and coach / play soccer. He also does some writing on the side, and has published some articles, a couple of textbooks, and a series of Choose Your Own Adventure books based on ancient epics. |

Abbey Dick teaches English at Millis High School in Millis, MA. She earned her BA from Assumption College in 2000 and her MA in English from Westfield State College in 2007. Though she has taught many grades and topics, she most enjoys teaching seniors and AP Language and Composition. Her favorite book to reread is The Great Gatsby, she enjoys playing Scrabble, and she hopes to write a book someday. |

Jessica Durdel is a history teacher at Medfield High School. She is originally from New York and currently lives in Boston. She graduated from Siena College with a B.A. in History with a minor in Education. Jessica attended The College of Saint Rose for her Masters in Special Education. Beyond her educational background and what she does for a living, she loves to ski in the winter, spend time with her family in the summer, and has just recently found an interest in photography. Jessica says: "I look forward to the development of this program and am excited to be involved in the world of online education!" |

Mark Holthouse teaches math, science, computer science, and engineering at Westwood (MA) High School. With a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, an MBA from Boston University, and 25 years as a successful "serial entrepreneur", he's known for his energy and enthusiasm, and for continuously bringing the "real world" into the classroom. He also coaches girls hockey and the WHS FIRST Robotics team. |

Dara Johnson Dara Johnson is the Coordinator of the Health and Physical Education program for the Dover/Sherborn School District- grades 6-12. She has been teaching health and physical education at the high school and currently at the middle school for 23 years. She received her Bachelors degree in Science - physical education - from Northeastern University and completed her Masters in Education degree through Cambridge College. She currently
coaches the Dover/Sherborn varsity field hockey program. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the Dover/Sherborn Middle School intramural program. She recently received the MAHPERD Middle School Teacher of the Year award, 2011 and the MIAA Distinguished Service Award, 2011. |

Michelle Kelley teaches Spanish at Norwood High School in Norwood, MA. She has earned a Bachelor's Degreee in Spanish, as well as a Business Management Degree from Bridgewater State College. As a wife, mother of three, devout full time teacher, and a life time learner, Michelle and her family enjoy the simple life in the outdoors, camping, fishing, skiing,and entertaining a whole bunch. Relationship building and touching lives in a postive dynamic way has always been Mrs. Kelley's approach to conducting her classes. |

James Levasseur graduated from Holliston High School in 1996 and attended Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL where he obtained a Bachelor's Of Science in Marine Science (Graduating in 2000). James then moved to Japan where he spent one year teaching English to Japanese students. Upon returning to the United States, he secured a job teaching Biology at Holliston High School. He has since been teaching biology at Holliston High School (for the past 8 years). During this time he has been fortunate to conduct conservation research along the Peruvian Amazon. James earned his Masters of Teaching Science degree from Western Governor's University in the spring of 2010. He has been teaching Forensic Science at Holliston High School for the past 8 years including several summer sessions with TEC. |

Bruce Mitchell teaches Latin & Greek, French, and Spanish at Hopkinton High School, where he has been employed since 2003. He is also certified by the state of Massachusetts in German, and he enjoys teaching the language of Goethe at the German Saturday School in Boston once a week. Bruce has also been an active researcher of Jewish languages such as Yiddish and Judeo-Spanish. He has published several scholarly and popular articles about these langauges, and published a book Language Politics and Language Survival: Yiddish among the Haredim on Post-War Britain in 2006. Most of Bruce's spare time is now spent with his two small sons, Aedan and Dane, so research has been put on hold for some time! |

Lindsey Reichheld is a member of the science department at Walpole High School since 2001. She teaches a variety of courses including Genetics & Biotechnology and Biology. She earned her B.S. in Biology at Ohio State University and is currently finishing her M.S. in Biology at Northeastern University. Lindsey enjoys almost all outdoor activities and is an avid bird watcher and gardener which she mixes with photography and travel. When forced to be indoors she is either working on school or reading a good book. |

Betsy Sugameli teaches Social Studies at Needham High School in Needham, MA. She earned her BA in History from Trinity University, her MBA from Babson College and her M. Ed. from Boston College. She has six years experience in teaching history, World U.S. and economics, after a career switch from tax and finance. Betsy was exposed to students after appearing as a guest speaker at a local high school history class as Chair of her town Finance Committee. Since that visit, she has committed herself to exposing young adults to their civic and political responsibilities, as members of the American, as well as global, communities. |

Doug Scott teaches Technology courses at Natick High School where he is also the FIRST Robotics advisor and resident geek! He studied his undergraduate degree at Framingham State College where he played ECAC ice hockey. Doug earned Graduate degrees at Salem State College and Framingham State College. At Natick High School he helps students earn computer industry licenses in various certification courses. He has also developed the robotics curriculum for the high school's robotics courses, which include a special ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) program, which surveys the school's pond. He still enjoys playing hockey, coaching lacrosse and fishing when he can find the time. Doug is married and has a daughter who he loves to read to each night. |

Joe Williams teaches business and technology at Hopkinton High School. He earned his BS in broadcasting and film from Boston University, and holds a MS in mass communications from Emerson College. He became a teacher in his mid-forties after a career that included working in IT Support, video production, and teaching at the college level. He loves movies, computers, and drawing comics. |
